Mayaya:The Seed of Corruption Movie Release Date announced

From the producers of Sabhuku Vharazipi comes a daring new feature film titled MAYAYA:THE SEED OF CORRUPTION. www.facebook.com/Mayayathemovie . The film is set to premiere on 27 September 2014 at the prestigious Ster-Kinekor's Eastgate Cinemas. 

Although the domestic box office continues to struggle, movie productions in Zimbabwe are steadily rising. Figures in one of Africa's most populous nation show productions probably will grow in 2014 and, for the first time, reach competitive heights. That probably will make Zimbabwe Africa's third-biggest movie market, behind only Nigeria. and South Africa. Although some other nations are growing fast — Ghana, for example, film-makers say the digital camera has helped boost the film-making industry in Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwean people are yet to acknowledge the economy driving power of the film industry which has catapulted Nigeria to become Africa's largest economy. Businesses are still looking at the arts industry as a baby that is not productive but needs to be bottle-fed. However the movie industry has some promising investment luring qualities if afforded the opportunity.
